Job summary

Mears Group PLC in Crawley is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team, performing reactive and planned maintenance across social housing properties. This role involves working in occupied and void properties and delivering high quality workmanship.

You will carry out a range of carpentry tasks including fixing doors, skirting, architraves, and repair work while maintaining safety and customer service. Full-time, 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with a competitive annual salary of £38,699.97.

Qualifications

• Proven carpentry experience in domestic maintenance.
• Experience with first and second fix carpentry.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently with a varied workload.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience in social housing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive carpentry repairs in occupied properties.
• Undertake first and second fix carpentry.
• Hang doors and install skirting/architraves.
• Repair windows, doors, worktops and kitchen units.
• Deliver high quality workmanship with safe practices.
• Provide excellent customer service across sites.
