Job summary

Allison House Residential Home is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to support the catering team in providing nutritious meals for older residents. You will help with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen and dining area.

Ideal candidates show reliability, good communication and the ability to work in a busy environment. Previous kitchen or catering experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing ingredients, meals, snacks and drinks.
• Help serve meals to residents in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Support the catering team with general kitchen duties.
• Respect residents’ individual dietary requirements and food preferences.
