Co-op Group Funeralcare is looking for a part-time Funeral Service Crew member based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The role involves transporting the deceased with dignity, preparing coffins, and supporting families during funeral services.

Full training is provided, and the position includes an on-call rota and weekend shifts. You will need a full UK manual driving licence and be comfortable with physical tasks and handling equipment.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (lifting).
• Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from locations in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Bear coffins on the day of the funeral and drive funeral vehicles.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
