Co-op Funeralcare is recruiting for a part-time funeral driver role in the United Kingdom. A full UK manual driving licence is required. You will collect the deceased, transport them to funeral services, and assist with preparation and care—carrying out duties with professionalism, dignity and safety.

Shifts are 18.75 hours per week, with varied hours from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday, including an on-call rota. The role includes a salary of £13.24 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Willingness to learn and use technology.
• Empathetic, calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and adherence to policies.

Responsabilités

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Bear coffins on funeral day and drive funeral vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral.
• Maintain client management applications with timely, detailed records.
• Safely lift, carry and move coffins using approved techniques and safety guidance.
