Meridian Business Support Ltd in Redbridge is seeking a proactive Caretaker/Maintenance Operative to join our team. The role covers general maintenance tasks, inspections, room setups, and site upkeep across our contract, with a 40-hour week from 8am to 5pm and a weekly CIS payment.

Start ASAP. You will work with contractors, uphold Health & Safety standards, manage minor repairs, and support daily site operations.

Responsabilidades

• Complete minor maintenance tasks, including carpentry, decorating, plumbing, and lamp changes.
• Perform quarterly checks and inspections to ensure standards and safety.
• Set up rooms, move furniture, clean exterior areas, and manage stores.
• Liaise with contractors and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Report accidents/incidents to managers and support day-to-day resources.

Caretaker/Maintenance Operative

Hours: 40 per week, 8am-5pm
Rate: £18.00 per hour (CIS self-employed, personal UTR)

Are you an experienced Caretaker/Maintenance Operative looking to join a dynamic team where your skills will make a genuine difference? We're looking for a proactive, skilled Caretaker to help deliver excellent service standards across our contract.

Caretaker/Maintenance Operative duties include, but are not limited to:

• Completion of minor maintenance including, but not limited to, general minor maintenance repairs, minor carpentry including door maintenance, decorative repair including painting and decorating, plumbing including unblocking WC's and drainage, lamp changing, and landscaping repair (soft and hard)
• Completion of inspections in support of resource operation to check adherence to appropriate standards and policy, including quarterly maintenance checks, repair/fault identification, cleaning standards, site security and general upkeep
• Responsible for supporting resources in running their day-to-day activities. Duties include, but are not limited to, room set-up including furniture moving, sweeping and cleaning of the outside of the resource, hanging pictures, building of furniture, portable radiator management, stores management, repairs management and reporting of accidents and incidents to relevant managers
• Liaison with contractors, ensuring Health & Safety protocols are adhered to and communication with resource/head office over issues
• Completion of any other supporting/maintenance duties required
