Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is recruiting a Caretaker/Maintenance Operative for a client site in Redbridge IG4. The role is 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm, with a starting ASAP and a pay rate of £18.00 per hour (CIS self-employed, personal UTR).

You will handle minor maintenance, inspections and room setups, coordinate with contractors, follow Health & Safety protocols, and support daily site operations. The position offers weekly pay, potential overtime, free parking, and a supportive team

Qualifications

Proven experience in caretaker/maintenance operative role.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
A proactive approach with the ability to anticipate, diagnose, and repair faults efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Customer service champion.

Responsibilities

Completion of minor maintenance including carpentry, painting, plumbing, lighting, and landscaping repairs.
Inspections in support of operations to check standards, safety and upkeep.
Room setup, furniture moving, cleaning of exterior, stores management and reporting incidents.
Liaison with contractors and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
Completion of any other supporting/maintenance duties required.
