Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a skilled Caretaker in Redcar to maintain a key site. The role covers opening duties, basic DIY repairs, and light plumbing, with heavy lifting and classroom/hall setup as part of daily tasks.

You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, on an ongoing temporary contract with immediate start. A valid Enhanced DBS and experience in commercial facilities are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial caretaking, maintenance, or facilities management.
• Active Enhanced DBS (or registered on the DBS Update Service).
• Practical DIY skills (basic joinery & plumbing) and strong physical capability.

Responsibilities

• Site Opening: Daily morning unlock of school grounds and buildings, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Hands-on basic DIY tasks, including minor joinery work and light plumbing fixes.
• Logistics: Moving furniture, setting up classrooms/halls, and handling heavy lifting.

Pay Rate: £15.17 per hour

We are recruiting a skilled Caretaker for a key site in Redcar. This is an immediate requirement for an experienced maintenance professional with a background in commercial facilities.
