Job summary

Equans is recruiting a Caretaker for the University of West London in London W5. This permanent, full-time role covers 40 hours per week with a shift pattern alternating between 7am–4pm and 1pm–10pm.

You will set up classrooms and exam rooms, help with large events, prepare student areas, and maintain campus grounds. A full UK driving licence and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Caretaking experience required.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Set up classrooms and exam rooms across university sites as required.
• Assist with events such as Open Days, enrolment and Graduation ceremonies by arranging furniture and equipment.
• Prepare student areas for practical activities and maintain campus grounds (cleaning, jet washing, grass cutting).
• Conduct daily safety checks of classrooms and support site inspections before events.

You will help prepare for large events like Open Days, enrolment, and Graduation ceremonies by arranging furniture and equipment. You will also get student areas ready for practical activities and take care of the campus grounds by cleaning, jet washing, and cutting grass. Daily checks of classrooms to make sure everything is safe and working properly will be part of your duties.
