Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking experienced Care Assistants for a care home in the United Kingdom. The role involves supporting residents, including those with dementia and Parkinson’s disease, with dignity and empathy.

It’s a temporary role that can become permanent for successful candidates. Daily tasks include health support, housekeeping, and compliant reporting, with shifts including nights.

Qualifications

• A least 3 months experience in a Care setting.
• A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, or the facilities to pay for one upfront.
• Relevant mandatory training such as Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and Food Hygiene, ideally with the certificates to prove this dated within the past 9 months are essential.
• Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years.
• The willingness to make a difference.

Responsibilities

This well-presented Care Home are looking for experienced Care Assistants to work alongside the established team. They are looking for professional Care Workers with experience in looking after residents with Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia Care Needs. Dementia care experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Daily tasks will include:

• Attend to client’s health needs and requirements in a calm, empathetic manner always ensuring their dignity.
• You are expected to perform general housekeeping duties such as laundry and ensuring the home is always clean and tidy.
• Observing the resident’s conditions and reporting accordingly using the company’s reporting systems.
• Always comply with the homes health and safety policy in a professional manner.

For this role, you must have:

• A least 3 months experience in a Care setting.

Shift times are:

• Nights - 2100 to 0700
• Other shifts are available on request.

Rates of pay are £14.15 per hour and you will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year for time served.
