Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is recruiting experienced Care Workers for a large, newly built care home in the United Kingdom. The role covers Residential and Dementia care, with Respite and day care, offering varied days and the opportunity to help residents with daily living activities.

You will assist with personal care, support daily sessions, and help residents participate in activities. An Enhanced DBS is preferred; sponsorship is not offered.

This large, newly build care home is spread out over 3 floors and boasts that it even has its own pub! They offer Residential, Dementia care as well as Respite and day care. This role is very varied with no two days are the same. As an Experienced Care Assistant, you will be assisting in the residents with their activities of daily living, including personal care and nutritional needs. You will also take part in the home’s daily activity sessions, entertain the residents to assist them in living their best lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are always met, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow their specifically tailored care plans, reporting any issues immediately to the person in charge of the shift.
• Record actions accurately and reporting any issues immediately.
• Work effectively alongside the existing care team to offer their residents a range of activities to enhance their day.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential.

For this role, it is essential that you have;

• At least months experience in a Care environment.
• An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service is an advantage. If you don’t, don’t worry we can help if you have the facility to pay for one upfront at the cost of £49.50.
• All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Moving and Handling and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to gain access to online training platforms at the cost of £2.50 per unit.
• 2 years referenceable work experience

This is an ongoing role that can become permanent for successful candidates.

Shift Times are:-

Days – 0700 to 1430

Afternoons – 1400 to 2100

Nights – 2100 to 0700

Weekday shifts are also available on request.

The hourly rate starts at £12.97 to £13.97. You also accrue up to 28 days holiday per year for time served.
