Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants for a temporary role in a Nursing and Residential Unit in the United Kingdom. You will support elderly residents with conditions such as Parkinson’s and dementia, with night shifts from 20:00 to 08:00.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 months care experience, a DBS within the last 6 months or eligibility to apply (cost £49.50), and mandatory training completed or accessible online within 9 months.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months experience in a care setting.
• A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, or the facilities to pay for a DBS at a cost of £49.50.
• Mandatory training such as Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and Food Hygiene, ideally with certificates dated within the past 9 months.
• Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years.
• Willingness to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Attend to client’s mental and health needs in a calm, caring manner ensuring their dignity is respected.
• General housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning client’s rooms and the communal areas.
• Observe residents’ conditions and report accordingly using the company’s reporting systems.
• Comply with the home’s health and safety policy in a professional manner.

With Christmas fast approaching are you looking for an extra income?

This lovely Nursing and Residential Unit is looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants to work alongside the established Nursing and Care staff. They are looking for enthusiastic individuals that enjoy supporting elderly people with illnesses such as Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia Care Needs. Dementia care experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Daily tasks will include:

• Attend to client’s mental and health needs in a calm, caring manner ensuring their dignity is always respected.
• General housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning client’s rooms and the communal areas.
• You are expected to observe the resident’s conditions and reporting accordingly using the company’s reporting systems
• You must always comply with the homes health and safety policy in a professional manner.

For this role, you must have;

• A least 3 months experience in a Care setting.
• A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, or the facilities to pay for a DBS at a cost of £49.50
• Relevant mandatory training such as Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and Food Hygiene, ideally with the certificates to prove this dated within the past 9 months or we can assist you to access online training platforms so you can gain the relevant training.
• Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
• The willingness to make a difference.

Shift times are:-

• Nights - 2000 to 0800

There are other shifts available on request.

Rates of pay are £13.75 per hour and you will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year for time served.
