Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking experienced Care Assistants to support elderly residents with Age Related Illnesses in a care home. The role requires compassion, reliable attendance and the ability to work within a team to deliver daily care and support.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, meals, daily activities and medication rounds. DBS within 6 months and up-to-date training are essential, with ongoing hours and potential for a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in a care environment.
• DBS dated within the last 6 months or enrolled in update service.
• Mandatory training up-to-date with certificates if possible.
• Referenceable work history covering past 2 years.
• Passion to make a difference and reliability.
• Assist with medication rounds using MAR charts.

Are you looking for ongoing work caring for individuals with Age Related Illnesses?

This beautiful care home is looking for experienced Care Assistants to assist in the care and support of elderly people with Age Related Illnesses. You will be expected to hit the ground running and integrate into the team. You will be attending to their activities of daily living and will be dealing with clients with a wide range of physical and mental disabilities related to age. Dementia care experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Daily tasks will include:

• Attend to client’s daily hygiene requirements and nutritional needs
• General Housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning
• Observations of client’s conditions and reporting accordingly using the company’s reporting systems
• Always complying with health and safety in a professional manner.

For this role, you must have;

• A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
• A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
• All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
• Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
• A passion to make a difference
• Assist with medication rounds using MAR charts and boxed medications.

Shift times are:-

Day Shifts – 0800 to 1400

There are other shifts available on request.

Rates of pay are £12.71 to £13.33 per hour. Other shifts are available at premium rates. You will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
