Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Care Assistant to cover day shifts in a residential care service in the United Kingdom. You will assist residents with daily routines, provide personal care, and support with meals and mobility.

The role requires DBS within 6 months, up-to-date training, and a referenceable work history. It offers an ongoing, potentially permanent position with hours 0600–1400 and hourly pay £12.71 to £13.33, rising after 13 weeks, plus up to 28 days

Qualifications

• A minimum 3 months experience in an Elderly Care environment.
• A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service (or we can perform a DBS on your behalf at a cost).
• Up-to-date mandatory training in Moving and Handling, Infection Control and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults; certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily routines and personal care on-site.
• Administer or support medication administration as required.
• Prepare meals and perform domestic duties.
• Occasional shopping trips in the local area.
• Support residents requiring double-up care or moving with hoists and mobility aids.

We’re looking for an experienced Care Assistant to cover day shifts within a residential care service. Each resident has their own self-contained apartment, and it is your job to assist them with their daily routines. Care is delivered on-site by a dedicated team, with scheduled calls managed on a rota to meet individual needs—offering the feel of community care without the travel.

The residents are semi-independent, but the role includes personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, domestic duties, and occasional shopping trips in the local area. Some residents require double-up care and assisted moving using hoists and other mobility aids.

For this role, you must have;

• - A least 3 months experience in an Elderly Care environment
• - A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, if not we can perform a DBS on your behalf at a cost of £49.50
• - Up to Date relevant mandatory training in Moving and Handling, Infection Control and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and ideally the certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
• - Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
• - The willingness to make a difference to an individual’s life.

This is an ongoing role for the successful candidates that has the potential to turn into a permanent role for successful candidates.

Shift times are:-

Days 0600 to 1400

Other shifts are available on request.

You will be paid £12.71 per hour rising to £13.33 after 13 weeks. You will also accrue up to 28 Days holiday for time served.
