Home Support Matters is seeking a dependable Weekend Retainer Care Worker to cover weekend shifts across Lowestoft, Beccles, Norwich, Great Yarmouth and nearby areas. You will receive a guaranteed retainer pay for availability and additional deployment pay when called out.

The role involves providing high-quality in-home care to maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing, with training provided. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, and weekend work is essential.

Weekend Retainer Care Worker

Location:Across Lowestoft, Beccles, Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Northern Villages
Shifts:

• 07:00 – 14:00 and/or
• 14:00 – 22:00 (both Saturday and Sunday)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Weekend Retainer Care Worker to join our team on a weekend basis. This is a flexible role designed to provide support cover when required, while offering guaranteed retainer pay for your availability.

You will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities May Include

• Provide personal care
• Support with medication administration
• Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
• Follow care plans and accurately record care delivered
• Respond to short-notice requests for support (deployment shifts)
• Maintain safeguarding standards and promote service users’ wellbeing

Pay and Benefits

• Retainer Pay: £45.50 per 8-hour shift (paid regardless of deployment)
• Deployment Pay: £14.62 per hour for any hours worked when called out
• Flexible working structure with guaranteed base earnings
