Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner in Beverley to shape exceptional care, coaching new carers from interview to onboarding and ensuring quality and compliance across the branch.

You will train, mentor and support the care team, visit customers to review plans, manage on-call duties, and contribute to a supportive, growth‑focused culture with generous leave and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and a desire to take the next step in your career.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, encouraging approach to working with others.
• A keen eye for detail and confidence in maintaining compliance and quality standards.
• A people-first mindset – calm, kind and ready to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards.
• Visit customers to review care plans and ensure they are person-centred.
• Carry out risk assessments with care and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
