Job summary

Helping Hands Homecare, Inc. in Cheadle is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner to drive exceptional care by coaching new carers from interview through full onboarding.

You will lead training, support compliance, conduct spot checks, visit customers to review care plans, and help the branch maintain quality and strong relationships. This role blends field visits with team leadership within a nationwide care provider.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar care role.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Strong communication and a supportive leadership approach.
• Keen eye for detail and ability to maintain compliance and quality.
• People-first mindset with example-led leadership.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident and ready to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards across the team.
• Visit customers to review care plans for accuracy, safety and person-centred care.
• Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
