Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Care Team Leader at Cheriton Care Home in Dorchester to lead a dedicated team and provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents.

You will oversee daily living support, medication administration, and activity planning, while liaising with families and healthcare professionals. This on-site role offers stability, ongoing training up to QCF Level 5, and a supportive, home-like environment.

Qualifications

• UK right to work for minimum 12 months.
• At least 2 years’ experience in social care.
• QCF Level 2 (or above).
• 42 hours per week (day shifts).
• Availability to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, providing high-quality care and companionship.
• Support residents with personal care and daily living.
• Encourage independence and wellbeing.
• Plan and take part in meaningful activities and outings.
• Oversee medication administration and accurate record-keeping.
• Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.
• Support and guide the care team, stepping up in the absence of senior management.
