Job summary

Agincare in Dorchester is looking for a dedicated Care Worker to join our Cheriton Care Home team. You will provide high-quality care and companionship, support residents with personal care, and help create a warm, homely environment.

This post requires at least two years in social care, a QCF Level 2 or higher, and the right to work in the UK. The role is 42 hours per week with day shifts and weekend availability, with training funded up to Level 5.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ right to work in the UK.
• At least 2 years’ experience in social care.
• QCF Level 2 (or above).

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, providing high-quality care and companionship.
• Support residents with personal care and daily living.
• Encourage independence and wellbeing.
• Plan and take part in meaningful activities and outings.
• Oversee medication administration and accurate record-keeping.
• Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.
• Support and guide the care team, stepping up in the absence of senior management.

We’re Looking For
