Job summary

Agincare Weymouth in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a dedicated care professional to provide compassionate support to residents, lead by example, and help maintain a warm, homely environment where people feel truly cared for.

You will work 36 hours a week on day shifts, with weekend availability, bring at least 2 years of social care experience, and hold QCF Level 2 or above, while overseeing medications and coordinating with families and health professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ right to work in the UK.
• At least 2 years’ experience in social care.
• QCF Level 2 (or above).
• 36 hours per week day shifts.
• Availability to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, providing high-quality care and companionship.
• Support residents with personal care and daily living.
• Encourage independence and wellbeing.
• Plan and take part in meaningful activities and outings.
• Oversee medication administration and accurate record-keeping.
• Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.
• Support and guide the care team, stepping up in the absence of senior management.
