Job summary

Care Outlook LTD in West Berkshire is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the extra care service at Audrey Needham & Redwood House. You will manage the care team, coordinate care plans and staffing, and ensure high-quality, compliant care.

The role requires on-call flexibility, driving licence and experience in health and social care, with a salary of £27,000 and family-friendly benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Care Coordinating or 2 years in Health & Social Care.
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and compliance.
  • Flexibility to cover on call as needed.
  • Full driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct management of the care team, supervising staff and training.
  • Create and monitor care plans and staff rotas to meet service users needs.
  • Ensure assessments, care and risk planning meet best practice.
  • Collaborate with Recruitment to maintain staffing levels.
  • Provide care to service users during emergencies and arrange cover.
  • Answer phones promptly and maintain respectful communication.
  • Work with Branch Manager to handle quality standards and complaints.
  • Participate in on-call rota and ensure CQCs compliance.

We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to maintain and develop our extra care service in Audrey Needham & Redwood House in West Berkshire.

Core Duties & Responsibilities as Team Leader:
  • Direct Management of the care team, monitoring staff development through supervision, appraisals, and training to assist them in delivering a high-quality service
  • Creating, managing, and monitoring customer care plans, ensuring staff rotas meet service users’ needs and aspirations
  • Ensuring care assessments, care, and risk planning meet best practice and customers' aspirations
  • Work with the Recruitment Team to ensure sufficient current and future staffing levels
  • To provide care services to service users in an emergency, arrange emergency cover when required and cover all/any calls reasonably where required
  • To ensure that the telephones are answered promptly, and people are spoken to in a polite and respectful manner
  • To work alongside the Branch Manager, ensuring that all quality standards, complaints, and comments are dealt with promptly
  • Participate in the on-call rota
  • Put in place measures to comply with CQC regulations and work to achieve the best care standards possible
