Job summary

Southern Housing is recruiting bank care and support workers to join its dedicated teams across the Isle of Wight on a bank basis. You will support residents according to their person-centred plans, promoting independence, dignity and inclusion.

Role involves intimate personal care where required; a driving licence and access to a vehicle are needed to cover island schemes. Prior care experience is welcome but not essential as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Working as part of a team.
• Working unsupervised and adapting to different environments.
• Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to residents as set out in their person-centred plan.
• Deliver care that promotes independence, rights, respect, choice and inclusion.
• Assist with intimate personal care where required.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Follow health and safety requirements.
• Keep care plans and risk assessments up to date.
• Summon professional assistance in emergencies.
