Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking an Assistant Care Manager to oversee daily care delivery within an Extra Care scheme. You will develop personalised care plans with residents, families, and carers, and ensure they meet regulatory standards.

You will manage rotas and ensure efficient staffing while monitoring quality and risk. You will be the first point of contact for residents and partner agencies, delivering responsive, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Proven management/supervisory experience in care services.
• Strong understanding of care planning and safeguarding.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including CQC standards.
• Experience of managing and scheduling staff rotas.
• Excellent organisation and problem solving skills.
• Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care or equivalent or willing to work towards if not held.

Responsibilities

• Create and regularly review personalised care plans with residents, families, and carers.
• Oversee scheduling of rotas and ensure adequate staffing across shifts.
• Monitor performance and quality of care services; identify and manage risks.
• Act as first point of contact for residents and families, ensuring concerns are addressed.
• Contribute to a social-purpose organization with a focus on high-quality care.
