Job summary

Housing 21 in Norwich is seeking an Assistant Care Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of care within an Extra Care scheme. You will create and review personalised care plans with residents and families, ensuring high quality care tailored to individual needs and compliant with regulatory standards.

You will manage rotas, monitor service performance, and act as the first point of contact for residents and partner agencies, helping maintain dignity, autonomy and value for money.

Qualifications

• Proven management/ supervisory experience in care services.
• Strong understanding of care planning and safeguarding.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including CQC standards.
• Experience of managing and scheduling staff rotas.
• Excellent organisation and problem solving skills.
• Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care or equivalent or willing to work towards if not held.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of care services within a designated Extra Care scheme.
• Create and regularly review personalised care plans with residents, their families, stakeholders and carers.
• Oversee scheduling of rotas and ensure adequate resourcing for all shifts.
• Monitor the performance and quality of care services and manage risks.
• Serve as first point of contact for residents, families and partner agencies to ensure needs are addressed.
