Home Instead in Shrewsbury is seeking an organised, resilient Scheduler to join our local team and coordinate care schedules. The role focuses on efficient, responsive scheduling for clients and Care Professionals, with a priority on continuity of care and strong relationships.

The position offers full training, ongoing support, and a clear progression path within the company. Flexible holidays, DBS check, and supportive local management are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a scheduling or coordination role (home care, health, logistics or similar).
• Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Excellent communication skills with a calm, positive and resilient approach.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, think logically and meet deadlines.
• A collaborative team player who builds rapport quickly and professionally.
• An understanding of the geography of Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Wem is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage effective weekly schedules, factoring in travel time, holidays, training and last-minute changes.
• Respond calmly and accurately to schedule adjustments, working closely with the wider team.
• Match Care Professionals to new clients and arrange introductions alongside the client services team.
• Promote continuity of care by scheduling the same Care Professionals at consistent times wherever possible.
• Develop strong, professional relationships with clients and Care Professionals.
• Maintain accurate records on the electronic scheduling system.
• Work with recruitment and care teams to ensure care packages are resourced in a timely and sustainable way.
