Job summary

Home Instead Ivybridge is seeking a full-time Scheduler to plan and manage efficient schedules, supporting Care Professionals and clients in a growing service area. You will work with the Registered Care Manager to maintain high standards of service and meet business objectives.

The role requires experience in scheduling within care, strong organisational skills, and proficient use of care management systems and MS Office. On-call duties include evenings/weekends 1:5 rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling role within a home care provider or similar environment.
• Previous care industry experience as caregiver, senior carer or team leader.
• Good knowledge of care management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and solution-focused approach.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills under pressure.
• Collaborative, team-focused attitude with interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for occasional visits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schedules considering travel time, holidays, training, and cancellations.
• Respond to schedule changes and liaise with team and clients.
• Match Care Professionals to new clients with client services.
• Ensure client schedules use the same Care Professional and times weekly when possible.
• Build excellent relationships with clients and Care Professionals.
• Collaborate with recruitment to ensure current and future staffing.
• Coordinate resourcing with Care Team for timely packages.
• Enter and maintain client and Care Pro data in the scheduling system.
• Reconcile visits for billing and expenses.
• Carry out other duties necessary for operations.
• Ensure compliance with Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities policy.
• Visit clients as on-call support when needed.
• Liaise with clients and families to ensure exceptional care.
• Part of Evening and Weekend On-call rota 1:5.
