Job summary

Northgate Surgery is seeking a Patient Services Advisor to join its Patient Services Team. You will work closely with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to guide patients to the right service, arrange appointments, and support clinical administration.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service and a patient-centered approach. You will work 37 hours per week, with shifts from 8:00am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, and a consistent weekly pattern to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent spoken and written communication with patients and colleagues.
• Good IT literacy and the ability to navigate multiple online systems.

Responsibilities

• Book appointments and direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service.
• Care navigate and signpost patients to NHS and community services when needed.
• Manage online requests via SystmConnect, email enquiries, and GP billing systems.
• Answer patient queries with a focus on high-quality customer service.
