Job summary

Anderson Wright Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Care Manager to lead a domiciliary care service in Glasgow and Lockerbie. You will oversee day-to-day operations, staff rotas, care plans, and quality assurance to ensure safe, person-centred care.

Join a respected home care provider and build a compliant, well-organised service with strong relationships to service users, families and external professionals. Driving licence, SSSC registration and SVQ4 are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Registration with the SSSC.
• SVQ Level 4 in Social Care or working towards it.
• Strong knowledge of Care Inspectorate requirements and Scottish Health & Social Care Standards.
• Training in Health & Safety, First Aid, Food Hygiene and Moving & Handling.
• Experience in care, preferably domiciliary/home care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the domiciliary care service.
• Provide effective leadership, supervision and support to office staff and care workers.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and Care Inspectorate requirements.
• Maintain and improve standards of care and service delivery.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and workforce planning.
• Coordinate care plans, staff schedules and rotas.
• Review and update person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
• Monitor quality assurance, audits and incidents.
• Maintain records and GDPR compliance.
• Build relationships with service users, families and external professionals.
• Promote a supportive working culture and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support development and performance of the care team.
• Work from Glasgow and Lockerbie as required.
