Lead and oversee the day-to-day delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support services.Manage, support and develop care staff, promoting a positive, professional and accountable working culture.Ensure services are delivered safely and in line with CQC requirements, relevant legislation, organisational policies and best practice.Oversee the assessment, implementation, review and ongoing monitoring of individual care and support plans.Ensure risk assessments are completed, reviewed and updated in response to changes in individuals' needs.Monitor the quality of care through audits, spot checks, service reviews, feedback and other quality assurance processes.Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and other service-related concerns appropriately, ensuring timely escalation and follow-up.Support effective staff recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, competency assessment and ongoing development.Monitor staffing levels and work with the wider team to ensure services are appropriately and safely staffed.Build and maintain positive relationships with individuals receiving support, their families, representatives and other professionals.Liaise effectively with local authorities, healthcare professionals, commissioners and other external agencies.Support the safe management of medication and ensure medication practices meet organisational and regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date care records and ensure appropriate confidentiality and data protection standards are followed.Identify areas for service improvement and contribute to the development and growth of existing and new care services.Support the Registered Manager and wider management team with regulatory compliance, audits, inspections and continuous improvement.Participate in the management on-call rota where required and provide appropriate support in response to operational issues.
