Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking a C&YP Care Leavers Personal Advisor to join the Leaving Care Team in Hereford. You will guide 16–25-year-olds to access education, training, employment and housing, developing skills for independent living and resilience.

Applicants should have a Level 3 qualification in childcare, plus experience with young people, and strong communication in high‑pressure situations. Flexible, supportive team environment and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in childcare or child development.
• Experience working with young people in a similar role.
• Good understanding of mental health, housing legislation, safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support 16–25-year-olds to access education, training, employment and housing.
• Provide practical guidance, emotional support and pathways for independent living.
• Loster to build trusting relationships and ensure timely, appropriate support.
