Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council in Huntingdon is recruiting a Personal Advisor in the Leaving Care Service. This is a full-time, permanent role supporting care leavers aged 18-25 to build independence and pursue their goals.

You will work within a Pathway Planning framework, collaborating with families and professionals to provide guidance, practical support, and a holistic, person-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of an NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant work area.
• Commit to working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
• Possess excellent organisational skills, resilience and a passion for working with care leavers.
• Work collaboratively with other agencies involved with our young people.

Responsibilities

• Empower care leavers as they move towards independence and co-create Pathway Plans.
• Collaborate with families, Education, Housing and Health professionals to remove barriers.
• Maintain regular contact and ensure access to local care leavers offers.
• Keep clear, accurate, and timely records and contribute to the duty support service.
