Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Personal Advisor for a 3-month contract with a London-based local authority. The post involves managing a caseload of care leavers aged 17½ to 25, providing guidance, advocacy, and practical support across education, employment, training, housing and health.

The role requires experience with care-experienced young people, a Level 3 qualification in a related field, and Enhanced DBS clearance; 36 hours per week with 2–3 days in the office, and a bi-weekly

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with young people or care-experienced individuals.
• Ability to manage a caseload and deliver individual support plans.
• Experience conducting assessments of need, risk, and aspirations.
• Knowledge of Pathway Plans and multi-agency collaboration.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of care leavers aged 17½ to 25, including high-risk cases.
• Build relationships with young people to plan for their future goals.
• Assess needs, risks, strengths, and aspirations to inform support planning.
• Develop, monitor and review Pathway Plans with young people and agencies.
• Provide information, guidance, and practical support on education, employment, training, accommodation, health, and independent living.
