Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Personal Advisor (Leaving Care Service) to join Nottingham City Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, supporting young people leaving care to achieve positive outcomes in housing, education, employment, health and wellbeing. Essential requirements include experience with care leavers, safeguarding knowledge and multi-agency working.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in care, care leavers, or young people transitioning to adulthood.
• Ability to build positive relationships and provide person-centred support.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and multi-agency working.

Responsibilities

• Supporting young people leaving care as they transition into independent adulthood, helping them achieve positive outcomes in housing, education, employment, health and wellbeing.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action to protect young people, escalating issues in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Liaise with multi-agency partners including social care, housing, education, health services and voluntary organisations to coordinate support and services.
• Support young people to access and sustain accommodation, education, training and employment opportunities.
