Job summary

Kent County Council’s 18+ Care Leavers Service seeks Personal Advisers to support care experienced young people up to 25. You will be the first point of contact, providing flexible support, advice, and guidance as they prepare to leave care and transition to adulthood.

You will encourage active participation, develop detailed Pathway Plans, and advocate across agencies to meet young people’s needs. Flexibility and strong organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Must be willing to travel across a wide geographical area (Kent and Medway).
• Strong organisation and planning skills to record and develop Pathway Plans.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for care experienced young people up to 25.
• Develop and monitor Pathway Plans to support transition to adulthood.
• Coordinate with other agencies and advocate for young people.
• Record work accurately and plan to reflect the young people’s aspirations.
• Travel across Kent and Medway to support care experienced young people as needed.
