Job summary

Hill Care Ltd is seeking a dedicated Chef / Cook in Nottingham to efficiently prepare and serve nutritious meals within budget while maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards in line with regulations. You will manage menu planning, stock, and staff supervision as required.

Applicants should hold City & Guilds 706-1 & 2 (or working towards), a Basic Food Hygiene certificate, good communication skills, and the ability to work on your own initiative. Police checks will be carried out.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706-1 & 2 qualification achieved or working towards
• Basic Food / Hygiene Certificate required
• Good communication skills essential
• Team player with initiative and reliability
• Satisfactory Police Check (POVA where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals as required
• Provide for special dietary requirements and client preferences
• Liaise with Home Manager when planning menus to ensure balanced nutritious meals
• Arrange and participate in Staff and Client meetings
• Maintain accurate records of food supplies and temperatures
• Ensure stock rotation and manage orders/deliveries
• Supervise Kitchen Staff and conduct basic food hygiene training
