Job summary

Avante Care & Support Ltd. is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant for Malling Grange, our new luxury care home opening autumn 2026 in the United Kingdom.

You will join the opening team and help create delicious, nutritious meals for residents while ensuring a warm, welcoming dining experience. As part of the role you will prep ingredients, assist the cook, serve meals, keep areas clean and follow food hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• EH certificate in Food Hygiene is essential.
• Team player with a positive, flexible attitude is required.
• Experience in a similar role and/or City & Guilds qualification is desirable.
• Passion for making meals that bring joy to others.

Responsibilities

• Prep fresh ingredients and assist with meal preparation.
• Serve meals and ensure mealtimes are enjoyable for residents.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe and hygienic.
• Follow food hygiene, safety and nutritional standards daily.
• Help plan menus with input from residents.
