Job summary

Avante Care & Support Ltd. is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Parkview Care Home in Bexleyheath to help prepare delicious, nutritious meals and maintain a warm, hygienic dining area for residents.

Qualifications

• Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene (essential).
• Team player with a positive, flexible attitude.
• Experience in a similar role and/or City & Guilds qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Prep fresh ingredients – fruits, vegetables, and more.
• Assist with meal preparation and support our Cook/Head Chef.
• Serve meals and ensure mealtimes are enjoyable for residents.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and hygienic.
• Follow food hygiene, safety, and nutritional standards every day.
• Help plan menus with input from residents.
• Ensure high standards of care in line with Avante’s Eden Alternative Philosophy.
