Job summary

Avante Care & Support is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Northbourne Court in Sidcup to help prepare meals and maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment for residents.

You will assist the Cook, serve meals, and follow strict hygiene standards while supporting a warm, person-centred dining experience in a residential care setting.

Qualifications

• Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene is essential.
• Team player with a positive, flexible attitude.
• Experience in a similar role and/or City & Guilds qualification is desirable.
• Passion for making meals that bring joy to others.

Responsibilities

• Prep fresh ingredients – fruits, vegetables, and more.
• Assist with meal preparation and support the Cook/Head Chef.
• Serve meals and ensure mealtimes are enjoyable for residents.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and hygienic.
• Follow food hygiene, safety, and nutritional standards daily.
• Help plan menus with input from residents.
• Ensure high standards of care in line with Eden Alternative Philosophy.

What You’ll Be Doing
