Job summary
Sanctuary Care is seeking a Maintenance Operative for Fernihurst Nursing Home in Exmouth. The role focuses on minor repairs, plumbing and general maintenance, supporting a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents.

Qualifications
- Practical experience in minor repairs, basic plumbing and DIY.
- Understanding of health and safety protocols (Legionella awareness desirable).
- Valid driving licence and access to transport.
- Confidence using an iPad or laptop for compliance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Carry out minor repairs and maintain the home and garden to a high standard.
- Access practical training to build confidence in key tasks – including plumbing essentials and repair best practices.
- Coordinate contractor visits and ensure work meets quality standards.
- Provide cover at other homes when needed.
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, colleagues and contractors.
- Carry out health and safety checks to keep everyone safe.
