Job summary

Chiswick Nursing Centre in London is seeking a full-time Maintenance Operative to help maintain the building and the equipment used to provide care for residents.

You should have prior trade experience; experience in care homes is advantageous. The role runs on a 40-hour week across weekdays and weekends on a rotating 8am–6pm schedule, with a pay rate of £15.81 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a trade is essential.
• Experience in a care home would be advantageous.
• Skilled in a trade (e.g. Painting and Decorating / Carpentry / Plastering / plumbing / electrical, etc).

Responsibilities

• Maintain building and equipment to support resident care.
• Work within Maintenance Team on a rota basis to cover weekdays and weekends between 8am and 6pm.

As part of the Maintenance Team, your role will include a variety of tasks to help maintain the overall building and the equipment used to provide care for their residents. What we want above all are genuinely kind, sympathetic people, who have previous experience of working in a trade. It would also be an advantage to have had experience of working in a care home.

An opportunity has arisen for the role of full-time Maintenance Operative at our Nursing Centre. Previous experience of working in a trade is essential. It would also be an advantage to have had experience of working in a care home.

We would be especially interested to receive applications from anyone skilled in a trade (e.g. Painting and Decorating / Carpentry / Plastering / plumbing / electrical, etc).
