Job summary

Bupa’s Aston Court Care Home in Little Aston is seeking a Maintenance Operative to keep facilities fully functional, safe and welcoming. You will service buildings and equipment, run safety checks, and coordinate repairs with approved contractors to minimise disruption to residents.

The role is permanent full-time (37.5 hours, Monday–Friday), with pay of £13.55–£16.61 per hour depending on experience, plus benefits including 28 days holiday and wellbeing programs.

Qualifications

• Understanding of heating, water distribution, ventilation and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of building fabric and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
• Awareness of statutory requirements and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to high standards with minimal disruption to residents.
• Carry out safety, health, and compliance checks using digital tools.
• Report defects, obtain quotes, and manage contractor work per SOPs.
• Support refurbishment and capex programs for the care home.
