Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Maintenance Operative for Freelands Croft Care Home in Fleet. The role involves keeping facilities fully functional and compliant, with a focus on safety, endurance of equipment and high standards of presentation across the home.

You will perform regular maintenance tasks, assist with refurbishment initiatives, and support the Home Manager in coordinating repairs with approved contractors.

Qualifications

• Building services knowledge including heating, water systems, ventilation, electrical and plumbing.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems and records.
• Understanding of statutory requirements and compliance.
• Full driving licence required.
• Trade qualification or hands-on maintenance experience (3+ years).

Responsibilities

• Carry out health, safety and compliance checks using digital systems within timescales.
• Complete maintenance and repair tasks to high standards with value.
• Coordinate with Home Manager and approved contractors for repairs.
• Support regional maintenance across multiple homes as needed.
• Assist with induction of new staff on emergency procedures.
