Job summary

Poplars Nursing and Residential Home seeks a Domestic and Laundry Assistant to join its team in Burton upon Trent. The role covers cleaning and laundry duties for residents, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. The post offers a 32‑hour week at £12.80 per hour, with a rota including weekends and bank holidays.

You will work as part of a supportive team, following health and safety and infection control policies, and you may be required to handle deep cleaning and laundry tasks for residents.

Qualifications

• DBS check and references required
• No visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the home’s cleaning schedules
• Provide deep cleaning and preparation of bedrooms as required
• Manage cleaning supplies and notify when new supplies are required
• Ensure the appropriate agent is used for each area to be cleaned
• Adhere to health and safety, and infection control policies and ensure cleaning is in line with recommendations
• Maintain linen, towels and Clients’ personal clothing and ensure the laundry room and equipment remain clean and tidy
