Job summary

Runwood Homes Limited is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to maintain high hygiene and efficiency in the care home laundry. You will operate washing machines, dryers and ironing equipment, ensuring resident clothing is cleaned and prepared for redistribution with care and respect.

You will help keep the laundry area clean, follow health and safety standards, and participate in induction and ongoing training. The role offers progression within Runwood Homes and a supportive team environment.

Job description

As a Laundry Assistant, you will be a member of the support services team. Your main Laundry Assistant responsibilities will be to ensure the laundry of residents and general care home is completed in a professional and timely manner. This includes using washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently as well as neatly folding, hanging, or preparing clean laundry for redistribution. Your daily tasks as a Laundry Assistant include keeping the laundry area clean, tidy and organised as well as following health and safety standards to avoid contamination and accidents.
