Job summary

Serencroft Care Homes is seeking a reliable Domestic Assistant for Woodlands Care Home, Stockport, on a 37.5 hour/week fixed-term maternity cover. Salary is £13.24 per hour with a supportive, values-led team and ongoing training opportunities during a 12-month contract.

The role involves daily cleaning, laundry, and adherence to infection prevention and health and safety standards, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

Qualifications

• DBS check required or to be completed
• Good attention to detail and hygiene awareness
• Flexible, can-do attitude and reliable
• Experience in a care home or healthcare setting is desirable

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the home
• Carry out daily cleaning and laundry duties
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Support the care team to keep residents safe and comfortable
• Ensure safe storage and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Complete cleaning schedules and records as required
• Assist with waste disposal in line with policy
