Job summary

Hatzfeld Care Ltd provides high quality residential and day care through specialised mental health, Dementia care and residential care services. This role involves assisting in meal preparation under the Head Chef's guidance within our care home, ensuring meals meet residents' dietary needs and safety standards.

You will support stock control, help with ordering, and assist with serving meals where needed, while maintaining hygiene, cleanliness and a caring, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or care home settings is beneficial.
• Ability to follow Head Chef guidance and menu specifications.
• Commitment to health and safety and infection control in a kitchen.
• Awareness of allergens and safe handling of food.

Responsibilities

• Assist under Head Chef to identify items to order from suppliers.
• Operate a stock control system to manage supplies.
• Prepare food items under guidance of Head Chef.
• Support delivery and serving of meals when required.
• Understand service user dietary needs and relay concerns.
• Follow health and safety rules and report hazards.
