Job summary

Hatzfeld Care Ltd is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support our care home kitchen under the Head Chef. You will help prepare meals for residents, assist with ordering, stock control, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety on site.

training will be provided; involvement in dietary and allergen considerations is expected. On-site car park and meals provided accompany a role with a salary of £12.88 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Good understanding of health and safety in care settings.
• Willingness to undertake required training and development.

Responsibilities

• Under Head Chef supervision, help identify items to order to maintain supplies.
• Operate an efficient stock control system.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and report faults immediately.
• Prepare food items under guidance of Head Chef.
• Assist with delivery and serving of meals when required.
• Understand diets and allergens for residents and communicate concerns.
