Job summary

Milesian Manor Care Home in Magherafelt is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors. The role is part of the housekeeping team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness while following health and safety guidelines, with full induction and ongoing training opportunities.

Ideal candidates include those with housekeeping experience or a willing mindset to learn.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitising.
• Ensure all rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and kitchens are cleaned to a high standard.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas, such as door handles, handrails, and light switches.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and towels in designated areas.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, following instructions and COSHH regulations.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the housekeeping department.
