Job summary

Pertemps Network Catering in Solihull is seeking an experienced Cook / Chef to join the care home catering team on a permanent basis. Hours are Mon-Fri 9am-2pm, with a 3-course menu for up to 22 daily covers and on-site Café support.

You will maintain high kitchen cleanliness, operate equipment safely, and follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures. NVQ Catering and Level 2 Food Hygiene are preferred; DBS, references and right-to-work checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Previous cook/chef experience in care home or residential setting.
• Commitment to high hygiene standards; Food Hygiene and Food Allergen assessment offered.
• Positive, reliable, proactive attitude with good communication and teamwork.
• Flexibility to support the wider team.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment vetting (DBS, references, right-to-work).

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cook / chef in a care home or residential setting.
• Commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards - will can offer Food Hygiene and Food Allergen assessment.
• A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude with good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and willingness to support the wider team
• NVQ Catering, Level 2 Food Hygiene and working experience of Food Allergens and special diets.As the role is based within a care home setting, all candidates must be willing to complete pre employment vetting to include :
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
