Gloucester Charities Trust in Gloucester seeks an experienced Chef to deliver nutritious meals for residents in a CQC-regulated home. You will work with the Chef Manager, preparing meals that support health, wellbeing and enjoyment of daily life.

You will handle diverse dietary needs, maintain high hygiene standards, and contribute to celebrations and special menus for residents. A commitment to quality food for older people is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Chef/Cook or similar catering role.
• Strong team player with excellent communication.
• Able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals to a high standard.
• Support Chef Manager with a varied, nutritious menu.
• Cater for specialists dietary requirements and texture-modified diets.
• Ensure food is prepared and served safely and hygienically.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety regs.
• Complete temperature checks and cleaning schedules; keep records.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and reducing waste.
• Support Kitchen Assistants and work with the care home team.
• Contribute to events, themed menus and resident celebrations.
• Promote a positive dining experience for residents.
