Job summary

The Glens Care Home is seeking a dedicated Chef to lead the in-house kitchen, delivering nutritious meals that residents love. You will manage stock, design menus, and ensure cost control while keeping resident wellbeing at the forefront.

Applicants should have commercial kitchen experience, ideally in a care setting, and hold a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate with an understanding of HACCP. PVG checks and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is essential.
• Ability to cater for special dietary needs within budget.
• Strong understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team to prepare nutritious meals for residents.
• Manage food stock, design menus and control costs.
• Ensure the kitchen and standards meet regulatory hygiene requirements (EHO).
• Provide reliable, high-quality food service and respond to residents’ needs.
